One of the largest producers of utility scale wind turbines and wind farms, Gamesa, has just entered into two agreements with Italian Enpower 3 S.r.l., owned by Moncada Construzioni S.r.l. group. Gamesa will supply 49 G8X-2.0 MW units totalling in 98 MW of wind power.

The delivery period is during 2009 and will find a new home in the Cattolica (Agrigento region) and the Lercara (Lercara region) wind farms. The agreements for both wind farms also include commissioning, maintenance and operation.

The new agreements further strengthen Gamesa's presence on the Italian wind power market. The company has thus far installed about 745 MW, but plans to double this total over the period of next four years.
