Vestas to supply 38 wind turbines for two wind farms in China

The first order is for the supply of 7 V90 1.8 MW units and 6 V90 2.0 MW units for a wind farm project in the Shangdong province. The second order is for 25 V80 2.0 MW units for a wind farm the Guangdong province. This brings the total wind power capacity of the wind turbines to 75 MW.

Details of the supply agreements have not been disclosed, except that Vestas will also be responsible for delivery, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines. Additionally, Vestas will supply its VestasOnline Business SCADA solution and will honor a two year service and maintenance agreement.

The Danish wind turbine manufacturer has been present in the Shangdong and Guangdong provinces for a while now. The first Vestas turbine in the Shangdong province has been installed way back in 1986.
