BP Wind has started work on the second phase of the Fowler Ridge wind farm in Indiana. Phase two will have about 200 MW and is expected to be completed and online in Q1 2010. Once operational the second phase will provide electricity for about 60,000 average US homes.

Fowler Ridge wind farm is about 90 miles northwest of Indianapolis (US), and its phase two, the Fowler Ridge II will feature 133 GE SLE wind turbine generators, each having 1.5 MW of capacity. It will occupy about 17,000 acres in area, and employ some 400 people during peak construction.
