LDK Solar and Suqian City have entered into an agreement for the development of 300 MW in total of photovoltaic power projects. Developments will consist of power installations on buildings, power plants and integration systems, and will be spread out over the next 7 years, to be completed in 2015.

Suqian City has very good conditions for solar energy projects, with more than 3000 hours of sunshine annually, but also with strong support for the growing solar energy from the government.

The Chinese government has introduced subsidies to stimulate the establishment of a domestic PV market, a rapidly developing industry in China.
