The wind farm is actually an extension, or the thirs phase, of the Blue Canyon Wind Farm, which is spread out across 7000 acres of land near the small towns of Apache in Caddo County and Elgin in Comanche County. It has 99 Mw of installed capacity, which is enough to provide clean electricity for about 30,000 average households in the area.

Horizon Wind Energy has a power purchase agreement with Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) for delivering generated power to Oklahoma citizens. The PPA covers the next 20 years.
