Gurit has signed an acquisition agreement with Suzhou Red Maple Wind Blade Mould Company, whereby Gurit will acquire Suzhou by entirely taking over Suzhou's parent company Cheer Tech Investment from Windy Shore Holding Limited. The deal is supposed to be closed by the end of this year. With this acquisition, Gurit will have strengthened its strategic position in the growing Asian wind energy market.

The Asian wind energy market, and especially China, as the region with the biggest growth is known to be using predominantly infusion technology for wind blade manufacturing. With its new position, Gurit will continue to support the Chinese wind manufacturing industry, with plans to extend its mould offering around the world.
