
Nordic Windpower announced the company has shipped the first three of its two-bladed wind turbines to Rocha, Uruguay. The company is going to be supplying more wind turbines to North and South America. The units are to be used for community and distributed wind power generation projects.
Nordic Windpower is planning to deliver 16 more N1000 wind turbines to be used at a school system, municipality utility and a military base. These deliveries are scheduled for early 2010.
The N1000 turbines are rated with 1 MW capacity, and are claimed to be affordable and easy to maintain and install.
