Vestas enters into partnership with Shanghai Huitong Energy

Vestas and Shanghai Huitong Energy have entered into a partnership, under which Vestas is to deliver 48 MW of wind turbines to Inner Mongolia Huitong Energy Zuozi Wind Energy, a subsidiary of Shanghai Huitong Energy (SHE). SHE is a new player in the growing Chinese wind energy market and industry.

Vestas will deliver 24 of its V80-2.0 MW units, one of the most used Vestas wind turbines in the world. The supply contract includes delivery of the units, transportation, isntallation and commissioning of the turbines, as well as VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, along with a two-year service and maintenance agreement.

All wind turbines are going to be installed at the Zuozi Bayinxile wind farm in Inner Mongolia. The wind farm site has good wind and terrain conditions, representing an optimal combination of resources for developing a wind farm.

Delivery of the units is expected in Q2 2010.
