
Vestas announced a supply agreement with China Longyan Power Group, under which the company is to deliver 18 V80-2.0 MW units to the Chinese wind developer.
China Longyan Power raised USD 2.2 billion in funding during its IPO in Hong Kong last year. The company is planning an aggressive approach to wind energy development in the coming years.
Under the contract, Vestas is to supply 36 MW of units, install them and commission them. Additionally, the company is to provide VestasOnline Business SCADA and a provide service and maintenance. The first units are to delivered in Q3 2010.
