Iberdrola Renovables will build four wind farms in Hungary, the company announced, with a total capacity of 158 MW. The power generated at these wind farms will be enough to supply about 220,000 average households in the country with clean electricity.

One of the four wind farms has already been completed and commissioned just days ago. It is the Csoma I wind farm, located in the northern Hungarian province of Komárom-Esztergom. The wind farm has 38 MW of installed capacity, with each turbine having 2 MW of capacity.

The company is involved in the construction of the remaining three wind farms – the Scott (36 MW), Csoma II (8 MW) and Amundsen (26 MW) wind farms.

Iberdrola Renovables already operates the largest wind farm in Hungary at this time, the Kisigmand wind farm with 50 MW of installed capacity.
