Gurit strengthens position in Chinese market with new range of foam products for turbine blades

Gurit announced a new range of foam products aimed at the wind energy industry. The PVCell G-Foam family of products is used in the manufacture of wind turbine blades, as a core material, used widely in the Chinese wind energy industry. At the moment, wind turbine blades are either made of fiberglass, with a hollow structure, or are made using a light material as the core of the blades (PVC foam, etc), surrounded by a more rigid outer shell. The product family was developed and produced at the company's subsidiary in Qingdao, China.

In 2009, Gurit acquired China Techno Foam, creating conditions for the development of a new range of materials, using Chine Techno Foams know how and R&D process.
