Nordex announced new orders from Portugal and China. The company is to deliver a total of 40 1.5 MW and 2.5 MW turbines to customers in these countries.

The first order for 30 units, is for the Chinese utility Ningxia Electric Power, already a customer with a 160 MW order history with Nordex. Ningxia will be receiving the S77/1500 units to be installed near the city of Wuzhong, in the Ningxia Province. These units will be installed as the third phase of the Sunhill wind farm project.

The second order is for 10 N90/2300 units, going to Windway, for the company's wind farm S. Macário II, located in northern Portugal, in the Serra de Montemuro. This is the first wind energy project in Portugal for Windway. There are talks in progress about further collaboration with Nordex on development of projects in Poland and other countries in Europe.
