K&Company and Matinee Energy building 40 MW solar plant in California

K&Company (South Korea) and Matinee Energy (US) have signed a pre-master agreement for the development of a 40 MW solar energy project in California, USA. The solar power plant will represent an investment of up to USD 200 million.

K&C will be joining with a group of partners – LS Industrial Systems Co., Ltd. of Korea, CHINT Group Corporation of China and Ilyang Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. of Korea. The partners will share technological solutions and localized for more efficient integration among themselves. Each company will supply products according to its specialty. The group intends to establish an engineering and product development center for rapidly extending product lines and features, to be available to a wider range of customers.

Matinee Energy is hoping to benefit from this newly formed alliance with Far East companies, who are bringing in their know how, competencies and valuable skills. Furthermore, local job creation is also being touted as a benefit of this collaboration.
