Costa Rica's state owned electricity and telecommunications provider (ICE), has announced tenders for purchasing 50 MW of wind generated power. ICE is looking for offers from operators whose wind farm capacities are in the range between 20 MW and 50 MW. All interested operators are to submit bids including project finances, design, construction, inspection, installation, operation and maintenance information, and a description of the subsequent process of transferring to ICE.

ICE reserves the right to award any of the bidders whose offers is assessed to be satisfactory, as well as void the entire process if the company decides none of the bidders satisfy conditions, or there is a clear lack of competition.
