Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAGAGENCO) in India has issued a request for proposal recently, for a 25 MW solar PV power plant to be built at Shivajinagar (Taluka Sakri, Dhule District, Maharashtra) in India. The proposals will also include 10 years of operation and maintenance of the project on a turnkey basis. This is just a part of a much larger project, to have 125 MW of installed solar capacity.

The scope of work for the project includes the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 25 MW block of crystalling PV technology, which will be connected to the power grid. The company, whose proposal is chosen, will also be required to honor a ten-year service and maintenance agreement. Purchase of RFP documentation is available immediately from MAHAGENCO, while bidding for the project will be opened on September 12, 2011.
