National Solar Power has signed an agreement with Liberty County, Florida, for the development of a 100 MW solar project on a property in Liberty County. The project will be adjacent to the company's solar project in Gadsden County. Once fully developed and built, the project will represent a USD 350 million investment. This will be National Solar's third solar project in Florida.

The project will be made up of five 200 acre segments, each with 20 MW of installed capacity. Each of these developments will cost USD 70 million. The whole project will take about five years to build, or about a year per phase. About 100 people will be employed during this construction period.
