Panasonic recently announced the company has established Panasonic Eco Solutions North America. The new business unit of Panasonic Corporation of North America will put focus on renewable energy projects, with activities involving everything from design and implementation to financing of RE project as well as energy efficiency projects. Activities will cover the US and Canada as the primary markets.

Eco Solutions will provide comprehensive RE and EE solutions to corporate as well as public sector entities. Apart from engineering, implementation, construction and financing, the company will also provide system maintenance for its clients. An example of Panasonic's involvement in the US solar market is the Infenion Raceway solar installation, in California, which features 1600 Panasonic HIT panels, with accompanying technologies.
