Alstom and RusHydro begin construction of new hydropower equipment plant in Bashkortostan

Alstom and RusHydro have begun construction of the new manufacturing plant in Bashkortostan. The joint venture project, with a total investment of about EUR 125 million, is 51% owned by RusHydro, and 49% owned by Alstom, under the name JSC AlstomRusHydroEnergy.

The new production facility will produce main power generation equipment starting from 2014. The products will include equipment for small to medium sized power plants (25-100 MW), and pumped storage plants (up to 150 MW). Additionally, the facility will also produce auxilliary equipment for these power plants.
