JinkoSolar announced the company has been awarded the supply contract for a total of 50 MW of solar modules which are to be installed at a project being developed in northwest China, by the state owned renewable energy development company GSHHSD.

The project, located in the city of Zhangye in Gansu province, is a step towards achieving the government sposnsored goal of curing the country's carbon emmissions through the development of alternative, clean energy sources, mainly wind, solar, hydro and nuclear. This particular project will be connected to the power grid within this year.
