Lockheed Marting and Ocean Power Technologies will be jointly developing a wave energy project in Australia. The 19 MW project in Portland, in the state Victoria, is one of the largest such projects announced so far.

The project, supported by a grant from the Commonwealth of Australia, will feature OPT's PowerBuoy technology, assisted by Lockheed Martin in the design, production and integration of the converters. Additionally, Lockheed will support the overall program management.
