Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) has officially started its 12 MW Wyandot Solar Farm, in Wynadot County, Ohio (USA). The power plant was officially dedicated by the state governor Ted Strickland.
The project features 159,000 ground mounted solar modules, and generates enough electricity to power about 9000 average Ohio households. It was completed in June 2010, and is the largest solar power plant in Ohio.
All power produced at the power plant is exported to Columbus Southern Power and Ohio Power Company under a long-term power purchase agreement.

TÜV Rheinland has opened its seventh laboratory worldwide in Electronics City in the Indian city of Bangalore for testing solar modules and systems. The company has invested 2 million EUR in the new solar test centre, which in particular will offer services to India's growing solar industry.

Solar Millenium (subsidiary of Solar Trust of America) announced an important milestone for the company's 242 MW Blythe solar power project, which will be using parabolic trough CSP technology. This project is just one of four 242 MW projects the company is hoping to get development permissions for in the Riverside County, California. The project has now officially been recommended for approval by the California Energy Commission (CEC).
