Ming Yang Wind Power signs 198 MW EPC contract for wind project in China

China Ming Yang Wind Power is to begin construction of the 198 MW Phase III wind project in China. The project consists of four separate wind farms, each with 49.5 MW of capacity. The contract was awarded by China Wind Power International, an independent power produced in China.

JA Solar supplying Huanghe Hydropower with 21 MW of solar equipment

JA Solar has entered into an agreement with Huanghe Hydropower for the supply of 21 MW of solar products by September 2011. The contract is for equipment to be installed at large scale solar power developments in the Qinghai province in China.

KfW financing 125 MW solar project in India

KfW Entwicklungsbank is financing what's touted as the largest solar PV power plant in the world. The Shivajinagar Sakri Solar Power Plant will be built in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The state's power company, Maharashtra State Power Generation Company, MAHAGENCO, has recently issued an RFP for the first 25 MW block of the new PV facility. When fully completed, the Shivajinagar Sakri power plant will have a total of 125 MW of installed capacity.

25 MW solar project planned in India

Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAGAGENCO) in India has issued a request for proposal recently, for a 25 MW solar PV power plant to be built at Shivajinagar (Taluka Sakri, Dhule District, Maharashtra) in India. The proposals will also include 10 years of operation and maintenance of the project on a turnkey basis. This is just a part of a much larger project, to have 125 MW of installed solar capacity.

LDK Solar and Datang International Power partner for PV project

Bharat Renewable Energy and SG Biofuels deploying Jatropha hybrids in India

Bharat Renewable Energy, part of Bharat Petroleum, and SG Biofuels have started a program of development and deployment of elite hybrids of Jatropha, which will be harvested and used for the production of bidiesel in India. The first phase of the program is to develop a high-performing hybrid adapted to the growing conditions in various parts of India.

SunPower and Mahindra in 15 MW solar module supply agreement

SunPower has received an order from Mahindra EPC Services (India) for 15 MW of solar panels and T0 Tracker technology, to be delivered by the end of the year. Mahindra is developing several solar power plants in Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat regions. All these projects are to be connected to the power grid.

Trina Solar supplying 30 MW of PV modules for large solar projects in China

Ming Yang Wind Power and Three Gorges New Energy in cooperation for offshore wind development in China

China Ming Yang Wind Power (MY) and China Three Gorges New Energy Corporation (CTGPC) have entered into a cooperation agreement for the development of offshore wind projects in the Chinese province of Guangdong. CTGPC is state-owned enterprise, best known as the owner of the Three Gorges Dam Project, one of the largest hydropower projects in the world.

Vestas to supply V100 turbines to customer in India

Vestas announced an order for 26 V100-1.8 MW units from Powerica Limited, an existing customer in India. The wind turbines are to be delivered and installed at the Vandiya wind farm in Gujarat which is to have 46.8 MW of installed capacity.
