Alerion Clean Power has been awarded the permit the build the Jimbolia wind farm in Romania. The 58 MW wind farm is expected to be able to produce about 130 GWh of electrical energy annually.

RusHydro and Voith Hydro have signed an agreement for the modernization of the hydraulic turbines at the Miatlinskaya hydropower plant in Dagestan (Russian Federation). The power plant currently has 220 MW of installed capacity (two axial units, each with 113 MW of capacity).

E.ON has announced details about the Humber Gateway offshore wind farm which the company is developing off the coast of East Yorkshire. The future offshore wind farm will feature an array of 73 wind turbines, totalling in 219 MW of installed capacity. This is enough to provide electrical energy for about 170,000 average homes annually, according to the company.

Siemens has been awarded the contract to deliver, install and commission the wind turbines for the 288 MW Amrumbank West offshore wind farm, being developed by E.ON in the North Sea. Siemens will be installing its 3.6 MW offshore units, 80 of them in total.

Nordex has been awarded wind turbine supply contracts in Norway and Italy in totalling 77.5 MW of capacity. The orders require the delivery of the N90/2500 and the N100/2500 units.

Kyocera has supplied an additional 10 MW of solar modules to a solar park complex near Turin, Italy, where is already 6 MW of modules installed. The company supplied the 6 MW of initial modules earlier in 2011. The developer of the solar park complex is Enermill Energie Rinnovabili.
